Synovial Sarcoma

Synovial sarcomas are cancers of soft tissues, such as ligaments and muscles. They are most often found near joints. Symptoms include swelling, lumps, difficulty in moving, and pain. Synovial sarcoma can be diagnosed using X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. Synovial sarcoma is diagnosed using CT scans, MRIs, ultrasound, X-rays, and biopsies. Surgery is most commonly used to treat synovial sarcoma, but radiation and chemotherapy are also used.
