Rectal cancer occurs when mutations in rectal cells occur, causing the cells to grow uncontrollably.
Symptoms of rectal cancer include diarrhea, constipation, a change in bowel movements, blood in stool, fatigue, weight loss, abdominal pain, and narrow stools.
Treatment of rectal cancer can include surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy.
