Gastric cancer, also known as stomach cancer, is cancer of the stomach lining.
Gastric cancer is caused by mutations in stomach cells, although smoking and H. pylori infections increase the chances of getting gastric cancer.
Symptoms include stomach pain, weight loss, nausea, difficulty in swallowing, shortness of breath, and decreased appetite.
Gastric cancer treatment can include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgery to remove part or all of the stomach.
